Yes absolutely. In fact you can show them a report if something goes wrong, this information can help them solve the problem quickly (saving you money)! We also have our own I.T. support team available for ANY computer problems at your business and PurplePC clients get a big discount!
No. PurplePC is designed to monitor your system but does not have any type of access to it. It does not collect any personal information.
Some errors are easily fixable and may have a link to a page or video on how to resolve them. You can also call a trusted IT person or company that you use.

Some browsers have extra security. If you are downloading PurplePC from the link you received in the email, then it is safe to run.
Firefox: If you are using Firefox, on the download click more details, then click open.
Internet Explorer: For Internet Explorer if it asks are you sure you want to run this, click yes.
Chrome: If you are running Chrome you may see a message stating ‘PurplePC is not commonly downloaded’. Click the up arrow next to the ‘Disregard’ button, then click Keep.

PurplePC is designed to provide information to anyone, not just technicians. This system can replace the monthly ‘monitoring’ that an I.T. company may be charging you for. You can still retain them for services though.
There are no hidden fees. We use state of the art cloud based technology to provide your business with services you need.
PurplePC monitors the built-in Windows backup system. If you are paying a 3rd party backup company then that will not be reported. The built-in system is already that and an excellent way to keep your data safe. There is no extra cost for that system and we highly recommend using it.

Computers used to store files or sensitive information are considered servers. By checking that box you will receive daily reports and instant alerts if the system crashes or goes offline. If you are running this on a computer that gets shut off often, it is not recommended that you check it. Checking this box will have PurplePC send you an email alert when you shut off that computer.
Your license key should be in your confirmation email. After installing PurplePC you should see a ‘settings’ screen.
Type in the email address you wish to receive alerts and reports to.
Type in your company name (or leave it blank).
Type in (or copy and paste) the license key exactly as its stated in your confirmation email.
If any information needs to be changed in the future, right click on the PurplePC icon in your taskbar at the bottom right (next to the time), then click ‘settings’.
PurplePC is designed to run on any Windows operating system including servers or computers dedicated as a file server.
